The Pharus Project

As The Pharus Project embarks on its inital pilot phase, our objective is ambitious: Create a central repository of knowledge drawn from people who have cared for, or are currently caring for, someone with Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia.

Right now, we're gathering as many caregiver stories as possible. Soon, we plan to transcribe each story and index it by topic so caregivers can find relevant, firsthand guidance whenever possible.

The goal is to create an online repository of short, 2–3-minute video vignettes that someone could search when facing a particular problem and quickly find several relevant, real-world experiences from people who have confronted it themselves.

Please consider sharing your caregiver experience with others.

Conversations

Ten minutes.  That's all it took David and John to give some insight and inspiration for a struggling caregiver.

Please consider sharing your caregiver experience with others. Your experience could become a beacon for another caregiver facing a difficult and unfamiliar moment.

Every Story Can Become a Beacon of Hope...Your Story is No Exception

By caregivers for caregivers, The Pharus Project is a searchable collection of short, candid video interviews with caregivers organized into brief segments addressing specific challenges, such as wandering, anxiety, agitation, and sundowning.

Rather than offering medical advice or professional instruction caregivers hear directly from other caregivers: what happened, how they responded, what worked, what did not work, and what they wish they had known at the time.

Imagine searching, "My mother keeps trying to leave the house," and immediately finding several videos from caregivers who have faced the same challenge--each cued to the exact moment when they discuss the topic and share what they have learned'.

Well, with your kindness, your support, and your willingness to share your story, The Pharus Project can become a beacon of hope, guidance and practical help for caregivers.

We hope you will consider contributing your story.
